2cupsall-purpose flour
2tablespoonsgranulated sugar
1tablespoonbaking powder
½teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonground cinnamon
2large eggs
1cupwhole milk
¼cupunsalted buttermelted
1cupdiced applespeeled if desired
Vegetable oilfor frying
Powdered sugarfor dusting
Instructions
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, and melted butter until smooth. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently, then fold in diced apples.
Preheat and grease your waffle maker. Spoon in the batter and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 3–5 minutes.
Let waffles cool slightly, then cut into donut shapes using a round cutter.
Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F. Fry the donut-shaped waffles for 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Avoid overcrowding.
