Ingredients
4large sesame bagels
7ozcream cheese
5ozcooked baconcooled and diced
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
1tbspmayonnaise
1tbspsour cream
1tbspchopped chives
1tsphot sauceoptional
Salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, combine 7 oz cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 5 oz diced cooked bacon, 1 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tbsp sour cream, and 1 tsp hot sauce (if using).
Season with salt and pepper, and mix until smooth. Reserve a small portion of bacon and chives for garnish.
Slice a thin piece off the base of each sesame bagel to stabilize it, placing them seed-side down. Carefully run a knife around the center without cutting through, then push the center outward with your thumbs to create a cavity.
Fill the hollowed bagels evenly with the creamy bacon mixture, smoothing the tops. Arrange on a baking tray and bake at 190°C/375°F for 12–15 minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Remove carefully, as the filling will be hot, and sprinkle with the reserved bacon and chives. Serve immediately.
