Ingredients
For the fritters
2cups250g all-purpose flour
¼cup50g granulated sugar
1tspbaking powder
½tspbaking soda
½tspsalt
1tspcinnamon
¼tspnutmeg
2large applespeeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
2large eggs
½cup120ml milk
¼cup60g unsalted butter, melted
1tspvanilla extract
For the glaze
1cup120g powdered sugar
2tbspmilk
½tspvanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in the diced apples.
Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and set in the center.
While they bake, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth for the glaze.
Cool fritters slightly, then drizzle with glaze. Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
