4large sub rollsor 6 smaller sandwich rolls, sliced horizontally
½cupunsalted buttersoftened
1tbspgarlic powder
1tsponion powder
1tspdried oregano
½tspsalt
½tspblack pepper
8slicesprovolone cheeseor Swiss, cheddar, or pepper jack
½lbdeli hamthinly sliced (or turkey, roast beef, or salami)
½cupshredded mozzarella cheese
¼cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1cupbaby spinach or arugulaoptional
½cupsliced pickles or banana peppersoptional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and slice rolls horizontally, leaving a hinge; mix softened butter with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Spread the butter mixture evenly inside each roll and place butter-side up on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Layer provolone, deli meat, optional spinach or pickles, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan, pressing gently.
Cover with foil and bake 10 minutes, remove foil and bake 5 more minutes until rolls are golden and cheese is bubbly.
