Ingredients

packet taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning

tomato sauce or salsa

hard taco shells

shredded cheese such as cheddar
Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend

shredded lettuce

diced tomatoes

Chopped cilantro optional
Sour cream optional
Guacamole optional

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F and arrange taco shells upright in a baking dish.
Cook ground beef with onion until browned, then add garlic, taco seasoning, and tomato sauce to simmer.
Fill each taco shell with the beef mixture and top with shredded cheese.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese melts and the shells turn golden and crisp.
Add lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and any extra toppings before serving warm.
