For the Sugar Cookies
1cupsalted buttercubed
1cupgranulated sugar
1whole egg
½teaspoonvanilla extract
½teaspoonalmond extract
2teaspoonsbaking powder
3cupsall purpose flour
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
½cupsalted butterroom temperature
8ouncescream cheeseroom temperature
1poundpowdered sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Fresh fruit toppings
Strawberriesblueberries, raspberries

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat butter and sugar until smooth, then mix in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
Gradually add flour and baking powder until a dough forms.
Scoop 3 tablespoon portions, roll into balls, press with a glass, and chill 5 minutes.
Bake 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden, then cool completely on racks.
Beat butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Frost cooled cookies, add fresh fruit, and chill before serving.
