Delightful Rose Madeleines
Rose Madeleines are delicate French butter cakes flavored with rose water and finished with a light glaze and edible rose petals.

Ingredients

unsalted butter
melted

caster sugar

honey

teaspoon
rose water

cake flour

baking powder
For the Glaze
½
cup
confectioners’ sugar
3 to 4
teaspoons
water
1 to 2
drops pink food coloring
Edible dried rose petals
Instructions
Whisk eggs, sugar, honey, and rose water for 3 to 4 minutes until sugar dissolves.
Sift flour and baking powder and whisk until combined.
Whisk in melted butter until smooth, cover, and chill at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400°F and grease the madeleine pan.
Pipe batter into molds until 80 to 90 percent full.
Place pan in oven, reduce temperature to 350°F, and bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
Remove immediately, cool completely, and glaze with sugar mixture and rose petals.
