Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix or homemade chocolate cake
  • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding prepared
  • 1 ½ cups maraschino cherries chopped, plus extra for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons cherry syrup from the jar
  • Chocolate shavings or grated chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  • Bake the chocolate cake and let it cool. Store-bought brownies work too.
  • Cut cake into 1-inch cubes.
  • Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff.
  • Chop cherries and mix with syrup. Let sit 10 minutes.
  • Layer cake, pudding, cherries, and whipped cream. Repeat and end with cream.
  • Top with chocolate shavings and whole cherries.
  • Chill at least 3 hours or overnight.
