For the Beef:
1lbground beef or beef strips
2tablespoonsunsalted butter
2clovesgarlicminced
¼cuphoney
⅓cupBBQ sauce
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Taco Sauce:
½cupmayonnaise
2tablespoonshoney
1tablespoonBBQ sauce
½teaspoonsmoked paprika
For Assembly:
6soft taco tortillas
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
Chopped fresh cilantrooptional
Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant, watching closely to avoid burning.
Add beef and cook until browned and fully done, breaking apart with a spatula if using ground beef. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika until smooth.
Warm tortillas until soft. Fill with beef, drizzle with taco sauce, sprinkle cheddar, and add cilantro if desired. Fold and serve hot.
