Ingredients
4Hawaiian rolls
1cupshredded Monterey Jack cheese
2tablespoonsunsalted butter
Optional sliced tomatoes or crispy bacon
Instructions
Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without cutting all the way through.
Heat a non stick skillet over medium heat and butter the cut sides of the rolls.
Place rolls butter side down, add Monterey Jack cheese and optional fillings, then close and press gently.
Grill 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted, lowering heat if needed.
Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot while the cheese is soft and stretchy.
