A playful twist on the classic cheeseburger, this Cheeseburger Lava Cake hides a molten, cheesy bacon filling inside juicy beef patties, baked in the oven and served on toasted brioche buns.

Ingredients
1lbground beef80/20
1tspgarlic powder
1tsponion powder
1tspsmoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1tbspWorcestershire sauce
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
¼cupcream cheesesoftened
¼cupcooked bacon bits
4brioche buns
1large eggbeaten
1tbspolive oil or butter
Optional toppings: lettucetomato, pickles, extra cheese slices, burger sauce
Instructions
Mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until just combined.
In a small bowl, stir together cheddar, cream cheese, and bacon bits for the cheesy “lava” filling.
Divide the beef into 8 portions and flatten into thin patties. Spoon the cheese mixture onto 4 patties, top with the remaining patties, and press the edges to seal. Brush edges with beaten egg to secure.
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear patties for 3–4 minutes per side until browned.
Transfer to a 375°F (190°C) oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, until molten in the center and cooked through (160°F/71°C).
Lightly toast brioche buns while the patties bake. Assemble with your favorite toppings—lettuce, tomato, or burger sauce—and serve hot to enjoy the gooey “lava” inside.
