1small red onionfinely chopped
1 to 2jalapeño peppersminced (adjust for heat preference)
¼cupfresh cilantrochopped
1 to 2tbspfresh lime juice
½tspsalt
¼tspblack pepper
Instructions
Wash all produce thoroughly. Dice tomatoes into small cubes, finely chop the red onion, and mince the jalapeños. Chop the cilantro and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro. Mix gently but thoroughly to combine evenly.
Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir gently to ensure all ingredients are coated and flavors meld together.
Allow pico de gallo to rest at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving. This lets the flavors develop and the ingredients marinate slightly.
Serve as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, or as a fresh dip with tortilla chips. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
