1cupunsalted buttersoftened
¾cupgranulated sugar
¾cuppacked brown sugar
2large eggs
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
Green food coloringas needed
2½cupsall-purpose flour
¼cupcocoa powder
1teaspoonbaking soda
½teaspoonbaking powder
½teaspoonsalt
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
8ozcream cheesesoftened
¼cupunsalted buttersoftened
2cupspowdered sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and green food coloring until evenly colored.
Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then mix into the dough just until combined. Chill 15 minutes if needed.
Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set.
Transfer cookies to a rack and let cool completely.
Beat cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
Frost cooled cookies and finish with sprinkles if desired.
