Ingredients
4cupsall-purpose flour
½cupgranulated sugar
2teaspoonsactive dry yeast
1teaspoonsalt
½cupmilkwarmed
¼cupunsalted buttermelted
3large eggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1teaspoongrated lemon zest
1teaspoongrated orange zest
Dyed Easter eggs for decoration
Egg wash made from 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
Mix warm milk and yeast until foamy, then combine with remaining ingredients to form a soft dough.
Knead until smooth, place in a greased bowl, and let rise until doubled.
Divide, roll into ropes, braid, and shape into a circle.
Press dyed Easter eggs gently into the braid.
Let rise again until puffy.
Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F until golden, then cool.
