When I slow cook or smoke a pork butt I always make sure I save some of the meat so I can make this flavor packed stew. This is one of our favorite recipes and using already smoked and roasted meat makes it pretty much a dump-and-go recipe.
Sometimes you need just a little taste of home, and this Brunswick Stew is all that and a bag of chips, y’all. With every bite, it just fills me with warmth and makes me feel like I’m back home in sweet Georgia. 🙂
TO MAKE BRUNSWICK STEW, YOU WILL NEED
- 3 cups shredded chicken
- 3 cups pulled pork roast
- 3 cups shredded beef
- 2 cups beef stock, or broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 5 medium red potatoes, diced
- 1 (15-ounce) can Lima beans
- 4 cups cream style white corn
- 1 (24-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp Stone House Seasoning
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

HOW DO YOU MAKE BRUNSWICK STEW?
Step 1: Add shredded chicken, pulled pork, and shredded beef – or mixture thereof – to a large, heavy-bottomed stew pot over medium-low heat.
Step 2: Add beef stock, onion, potatoes, beans, corn, diced tomatoes, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Stone House seasoning and cayenne pepper to the meats.
Step 3: Simmer over medium-low heat until thoroughly heated and all flavors have had time to combine, about 30 minutes.
