Flan is a dessert that’s always a hit at family gatherings and parties, and it’s a personal favorite of mine.

No-Steam No-Bake Flan

This custard dessert has a sweet, milky taste and a smooth, gelatin-like texture. It’s made with milk, eggs, and plenty of sugar.

Flan is especially popular in places with Spanish, Hispanic, and Latino influences, and you’ll often find it in Filipino cuisine. Its smooth and creamy texture is truly satisfying.

And guess what? You don’t need an oven to make it! This easy No-Steam No-Bake Flan recipe is just as delicious and doesn’t require any oven time. Enjoy!

TO MAKE THIS NO-STEAM NO-BAKE FLAN, YOU WILL NEED:

Large Eggs: Choose fresh, large eggs for a creamy and rich flan.

Condensed Milk: Select a good-quality condensed milk for sweetness and creaminess. Popular brands are often reliable.

Evaporated Milk: Opt for a reputable brand of evaporated milk for a creamy and slightly caramelized flavor.

Vanilla Extract: Use pure vanilla extract for the best flavor. Avoid imitation extracts.

Clear Jelly Powder: Choose a clear jelly powder from a trusted brand. Ensure it’s unflavored and suitable for making the jelly layer.

Cornstarch: Any cornstarch should work, but make sure it’s fresh and free of lumps.

Water: Use clean, tap water for the jelly mixture.

See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

RECIPE NOTES AND HELPFUL TIPS:

Use a Blender: To ensure a smooth and well-mixed flan mixture, use a blender to combine the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. This will help achieve a silky texture.

Strain the Mixture: After blending, strain the flan mixture to remove any lumps or air bubbles. This step contributes to a smoother final texture.

Prepare Clear Jelly Carefully: When making the jelly mixture, follow the instructions on the clear jelly powder package precisely. Be sure to dissolve it completely in water and cool it before adding it to the flan.

Chill Thoroughly: After assembling the flan, make sure to chill it for several hours or overnight for the best texture and flavor.
