  • For this biscuit recipe, heavy whipping cream—also known as heavy cream—will be used in place of butter as the fat. At least 36% of the fat in heavy cream is milk fat. I advise against using half & half or milk as a substitute because heavy cream provides the fat that makes these delightfully delicate and fluffy which half and half lacks.
  • All-purpose flour should not be used in place of self-rising flour.

Add some salt and baking powder to self-rising flour. Because of this, we only need two ingredients to make these biscuits!

3. Instructions for 2 Ingredients Biscuits Recipe

3. Move the biscuit dough out onto a lightly floured surface to avoid the biscuit from sticking. Add some flour to your hand and press the dough together.

4. Flatten the dough slightly with the palm of your hand and fold it in half. Repeat a couple more times.

6.. Press down the dough with your hands to half inch thick ball. Cut out the biscuits using a biscuit cutter. Press straight down and do not twist the cutter. Cut out as many biscuits as you can out of the first batch.

7. Press the scrapped dough together and flatten again into a half-inch ball and continue cutting out as many biscuits as you can. Avoid handling the dough too much this will toughen the biscuits.

8. Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Coat the top with some more cream using a brush

9. You can space the biscuits out 2 inches apart from each other for crispier edges or place them right next to each other for pull-apart biscuits with softer edges.
